October 15, 2026 Chiaradio Returns to Oak Grove M.B. Church in Preston to Encourage Voter Participation PRESTON, MS — Democratic congressional nominee Michael A. Chiaradio returned to Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Preston over the weekend, where he was welcomed by the congregation and given an opportunity to speak. The visit marked Chiaradio’s second appearance at the church, following an earlier service honoring longtime public servant Samson Jackson II. During his remarks, Chiaradio briefly discussed his campaign’s priorities, including lowering healthcare costs, investing in infrastructure, strengthening public schools, and supporting small businesses and small farms. However, much of his message focused on the importance of voter participation and the challenges facing communities seeking greater representation and access to public resources. Chiaradio emphasized that the upcoming election represents a critical moment for Mississippi Democrats and encouraged attendees to help their friends, families, and neighbors participate in the election. He also encouraged churches and other community organizations to help keep residents informed about the upcoming election and the importance of voting. Chiaradio thanked Reverend Wayne Morris Benn for welcoming him back and expressed his appreciation to the congregation for another warm reception. With Election Day approaching on November 3, Chiaradio continues to travel throughout Mississippi’s Third Congressional District, meeting with residents and encouraging participation in the democratic process.
